My latest Beach Cruiser build, the base used bike for this build was found locally on Craigslist and wasn’t being used by the owner anymore after he moved to this hilly new town… And it was just collecting dust in the back of his garage.

So I thought this this would be the perfect base bike to use for how to convert one of these and it is the bike used within this Step-By-Step guide… I think it turned out pretty well… A cool eBike solution with style on the cheap!

My Orange Hot Rod

This is my first eBike build and my favorite… It has gone through many changes over the years as I’ve played around with my eBike set-up and learn a great deal from trial and error over the years.

From wood boxes using lead acid batteries to this slick streamlined design, it has changed a great deal and I’ve loved it at every step.

It’s served me extremely well over the years and has been the most enjoyable bike to ride… It has a really kick-ass 500+W motor that I picked up on the cheap and is still running well… It has taken me far… Having easily put over 5K miles on is so far.

A Brown Cruiser eBike... Saddle Up!

This cool looking bike was build in 2018 and originally had the same 36V Lead Acid Battery set-up as my Orange eBike Cruiser… But was updated in 2019 with a more modern ‘bottle type’ 10.5AH battery, but it still retains the original ‘Custom Wood Box’ upfront to contain the controller and wires… Which really helps give it a custom Beach Cruiser flair!

I think it serves as another great example of how you can build most any type of beach cruiser on the cheap and create something that looks cool and rides awesomely well!
